Mariana is committed to best practice regarding community relations and environmental responsibility within its project areas and surrounding districts. The Mariana team is highly experienced in this regard and has a good track record in dealing with these issues in South America and in many parts of the World. Exploration is conducted in a highly professional manner with minimisation of environmental impact a high priority. Indeed, Mariana would not be able to operate without a "Social Licence".
Mariana geologists are frequently the Company's first contact with any community. They are well versed in local cultural sensitivities and both economic and environmental concerns of the communities. Thereafter, Mariana management and staff also interact with host communities and other interested parties on a professional basis to encourage their ongoing inclusion and participation.
